Exclusive launch sample for Norihiko Hibino’s Game Music Lullabies

Scarlet Moon Records released Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies today. The album can be downloaded through Loudr for 10 USD. The album presents many of gaming’s greatest melodies in arrangements to sooth and relax. The covers will be performed by saxophonist Norihiko Hibino and pianist AYAKI, who have previously performed as ‘Gentle Love’. To provide an example of what to expect from the album, we have an exclusive sample of Suikoden‘s main theme below.

Upon announcing the album, album producer Jayson Napolitano said “Creating this album has given me the opportunity to highlight game scores that everyone already knows and loves, but also the chance to turn people on to something new. Given Norihiko Hibino’s work on the therapeutic applications of music and his talent for turning the saxophone into a dreamy, sleep-inducing instrument, I knew right away that he and pianist AYAKI were the perfect partners to bring Prescription for Sleep: Game Music Lullabies to life.” The track listings are below:

01 Lifestream (Final Fantasy VII)
02 Dire, Dire Docks (Super Mario 64)
03 Song of the Ancients (NieR)
04 Lost Painting (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night)
05 Maiden in Black (Demon’s Souls)
06 Main Theme (Genso Suikoden)
07 Singing Emotions (Chrono Cross)
08 A Wish… (Secret of Mana)
