ARK: Survival Evolved soundtrack available for purchase

Sumthing Else Music Works has released ARK (Original Soundtrack), the soundtrack to the action-adventure game ARK: Survival Evolved. The soundtrack is composed by Gareth Coker and performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios, and comprises of 24 melody-driven tracks.

“The scope and size of the score of ARK: Survival Evolved, whilst intimidating, has pushed me to write in ways I didn’t know I was capable of,” says Gareth Coker, who previously made his name on the score to Moon Studios’ Ori and the Blind Forest.  “And to cap it all off, a gargantuan 3-day recording session in London with the amazing Philharmonia Orchestra really helped glue the entire score together.”

The soundtrack was officially released on August 29th, and is available on iTunes, Bandcamp, and Sumthing Else’s official storefront.

A native and lifelong Texan, I currently work in software education while contributing news, reviews, and interviews to VGMO on the side. I love the feeling that comes with the discovery of a brand new soundtrack, and always look forward to the next rekindling of that excitement. Outside of VGMO, I enjoy playing piano, listening to classical music and film scores, and trying to go unnoticed in any stealth RPG I can find.
