Kevin Penkin attached to sci-fi anime Kickstarter
Creative Intelligence Arts has recently launched a Kickstarter to fund the production of a Under the Dog. Described as an “anime science fiction action thriller that will explore what it means to live and die well, testing the limits of all we hold dear”, it is produced by an impressive team of animation veterans under the lead of Eminence’s Hiroaki Yura.
Kevin Penkin has been put in charge of creating a ‘stellar soundtrack’ for the title. Having made his debut on otome titles alongside Nobuo Uematsu, the young award-winning prodigy has gone on to write music for a wide range of titles, among them the upcoming Defender’s Quest II, Project Phoenix, and Majin Station. The audio team for the title also includes audio director Keiichi Momose (Blood: The Last Vampire, Steamboy) and recording engineer John Kurlander (The Beatles, Lord of the Rings).
If the campaign is successful, there are several musical rewards available to backers. Those who pledge 30 USD or more will receive a digital soundtrack, whereas those who pledge 50 USD or more will receive the CD. For more information, check out the video above and the Kickstarter page.
