Surprising game soundtrack features an all-star lineup

Earlier this week, a new soundtrack was released featuring some of the biggest names in indie game music. Among them, Gunpoint‘s Ryan Ike, Super Meat Boy‘s Danny Baranowsky and FTL‘s Ben Prunty.

The soundtrack comes from an unexpected source, the free-to-play educational puzzle game Frog Fractions 2.  Games like this aren’t normally associated with must-have soundtracks, but the successful crowdfunding campaign for this one provided the funds to bring a whole bunch of names together.

Spanning 33 tracks, Frog Fractions 2 Original Soundtrack includes all of the music featured in the game. It also features music from the alternative reality game (ARC) and Glittermitten Grove through which Frog Fractions 2 is accessed (the long bizarre story about the game’s unveiling is summarised here). There is also much from the crowdfunding campaign and unused tracks.
