Ocarina of Time arrange album Kickstarter underway

Materia Collected has announced “Hero of Time,” a Kickstarter project aiming to orchestrate a collection of new arrangements from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. An album filled with live performances of these arrangements will be available for purchase if the Kickstarter reaches its ambitious $50,000 goal. A synthesized preview of the arrangements can be found below.

The project is being run by Eric Buchholz, who was involved in the Symphony of the Goddesses, Pokemon Symphonic Evolutions, and The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony projects, and Materia Collective founder Sebastian Wolff. The project’s goals are to recreate the story of Ocarina of Time through nuanced arrangements of the game’s soundtrack via live orchestral recordings.

The Kickstarter will run until October 31. To learn more about “Hero of Time” or to back the project, visit the official Kickstarter page here.

I love the feeling that comes with the discovery of a brand new soundtrack, and always look forward to the next rekindling of that excitement.
