Fossil Hunters Original Soundtrack now available

Robby Duguay, composer of Graceful Explosion Machine, has released his latest soundtrack. Fossil Hunters, the Kickstarter-funded action-adventure game by Reptoid Games, will be released on Nintendo Switch June 28. Three days before the game’s release, Fossil Hunters Original Soundtrack is available for purchase. The soundtrack brings several talents together, including Trevor Alan Gomes (Piano Collections: Chrono Trigger), Doug Perry (Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire), and Matt Miller (Blasters of the Universe). Finally, the music has been performed by the Budapest Scoring Symphonic Orchestra, as can be seen in the demo below.

The soundtrack also comes with a few piano arrangements of themes in the game arranged by Gomes, who also contributed piano and flute performances to the score. Including the piano collection, the album is twelve tracks, which includes a track of literal elevator music (complete with the sound of elevator doors opening and closing). The soundtrack is available on most major storefronts, including iTunes and Bandcamp.

A native and lifelong Texan, I currently work in software education while contributing news, reviews, and interviews to VGMO on the side. I love the feeling that comes with the discovery of a brand new soundtrack, and always look forward to the next rekindling of that excitement. Outside of VGMO, I enjoy playing piano, listening to classical music and film scores, and trying to go unnoticed in any stealth RPG I can find.
