Soundtrack and remixes for Shinji Hosoe’s influential techno score to F/A

In a recent Ustream, Shinji Hosoe‘s award-winning record label Sweep Record revealed they will release the following albums later this year:

Shinji Hosoe Works Vol. 4 -F/A-
Shinji Hosoe Works Vol. 4α -F/A Remix-

Released by Namco in 1992, the shooter F/A (aka Fighter & Attacker) was one of the first ever techno game scores. Pre-dating even Ridge Racer and Tekken, it featured music from both Hosoe and Takayuki Aihara. While a soundtrack for the game was released in 1992 (cover below), it has since fallen out-of-print.

Shinji Hosoe Works Vol. 4 -F/A- marks the fourth in a line of compilation albums dedicated to Hosoe’s legacy. SuperSweep have previously dedicated albums to Dragon Spirit, Ordyne, and Dragon Saber.
