Tadayoshi Makino establishes music production company SpinSolfa

We revealed last week that Tadayoshi Makino, music director and lead composer for the Dragon’s Dogma and Monster Hunter franchises, had left Capcom to pursue a freelance career. To pursue new career opportunities, the composer has established the music production company SpinSolfa. The company offers a wide variety of services, including scoring, orchestration, surround mixing, and recording, for the games, film, and music industries.

The company also features the talents of Tomomichi Takeoka, a classically-trained composer and orchestrator behind orchestral concert adaptations of the Monster Hunter, Final Fantasy XI, and Tales franchises. Also on-board is multi-talented musician and coordinator Tomoko Akaboshi. Look out for announcements of their first projects in coming months.

About the Author

I've contributed to websites related to game audio since 2002. In this time, I've reviewed over a thousand albums and interviewed hundreds of musicians across the world. As the founder and webmaster of VGMO -Video Game Music Online-, I hope to create a cutting-edge, journalistic resource for all those soundtrack enthusiasts out there. In the process, I would love to further cultivate my passion for music, writing, and generally building things. Please enjoy the site and don't hesitate to say hello!
