New original and remix albums released for Crypt of the NecroDancer
Danny Baranowsky’s soundtrack for dungeon crawler meets rhythm game Crypt of the NecroDancer has proven a big hit. Reflecting increasing fan demand, Baranowsky continues to expand on this soundtrack with new tracks, while also commissioning arranged projects dedicated to his game. On January 24, some four digital albums were released for the game.
First up is the Crypt of the NecroDancer: Amplified featuring exclusively the new tracks added to the downloadable prequel Crypt of the NecroDancer: Amplified. The album features just four tracks at the moment, but will expand as additional tracks are added for the Steam Greenlight title.
Also on offer is Crypt of the NecroDancer: OverClocked, a collaboration between Baranowsky with OverClocked ReMix. 17 different artists have remixed 30 different tracks from the video game, all of which are playable in-game as part of the Amplified DLC. Familiar names include bLiNd, Flexstyle, and Mega Ran.
Next up is Aria Awakened: The Crypt of the NecroDancer Metal Soundtrack Remixed & Remastered. This soundtrack is an enhanced version of Aria’s Ascent, a metal adaptation of the original game’s soundtrack by FamilyJules, but with new harmonies and enhanced mixes. There are also four new tracks dedicated to Amplified. These tracks are also available as a separate release, Aria Amplified.
