Meditative piano-driven soundtrack for Expand released

Recently released on Steam, Chris Johnson’s Expand meditative game where you guide a pink square through a shifting circular labyrinth. Chris Larkin (Aurora) created a beautiful soundtrack to capture Expand‘s ever-shifting visuals.

The nine-track soundtrack for the game can be streamed in full on Bandcamp and is available to download for 4 USD. Core melodies and harmonies, often performed by the piano, are the heart of the soundtrack. These are embellished with strings and synthesisers, focussing on a slow emotional build throughout the game.

About the Author

I've contributed to websites related to game audio since 2002. In this time, I've reviewed over a thousand albums and interviewed hundreds of musicians across the world. As the founder and webmaster of VGMO -Video Game Music Online-, I hope to create a cutting-edge, journalistic resource for all those soundtrack enthusiasts out there. In the process, I would love to further cultivate my passion for music, writing, and generally building things. Please enjoy the site and don't hesitate to say hello!
