Jun Senoue lead composer on Sonic Team Racing

In the latest of Famitsu, translated by Sonic news site TSSZ, it has been confirmed that Jun Senoue will be the composer for the spin-off racing title. This will be the first time since Sonic Generations that Senoue has lead composition duties for a Sonic the Hedgehog title.

This news also confirms that Richard Jacques, who was the lead composer on both Sonic & All-Stars Racing titles, won’t be returning.

Since 2011, Tomoya Ohtani replaced Senoue as the lead composer for the Sonic the Hedgehog series, as Senoue pursued other projects within Sega.

I think this is great news! I love Jun’s work on the Sonic series. All we need is at least one Crush 40 song for the game and this will become a soundtrack to remember.
