Ilan Eshkeri scores The Sims 4 with the London Metropolitan

British film composer Ilan Eshkeri (The Young Victoria, Johnny English Reborn) has announced that he is responsible for the music of Maxis and Electronic Arts’ The Sims 4. Presented through innovative AI technology, Eshkeri’s orchestral score promises to “heighten the new emotional aspects of the game”.

Eshkeri’s contribution to the score include a new title theme, as well as the background music for the house and sim creation screens. In addition, he has also wrote over 140 short musical stings which accompany key emotional moments in the gameplay.

Eshkeri recorded the score with the London Metropolitan Orchestra. The multi-day recording session occurred at the famed Abbey Road Studios. The Sims 4 will be released for PC in the second half of the year.
