Giveaway Friday: Gunman Taco Truck

Some weeks, we’ll be giving away digital editions of excellent albums to site visitors. However, only a handful of copies will be available to visitors and will usually be given away on a first-come, first-serve basis. Keep checking the site every Friday to get your hands on each giveaway!

This week’s giveaway is the score to Gunman Taco Truck, composed by Gathering Sky’s Dren McDonald. The game, about the last surviving taco truck in North America after a mutant outbreak, features an incredibly fun soundtrack that follows in the mariachi tradition with a few unique twists. McDonald uses instruments unusual methods in his composing – broken instruments, misplaced mics – to create a brash, carefree soundtrack – or what McDonald calls “apocalyptic mariachi.” Want to know what that sounds like? Pick up a download code before they run out, and redeem it here.

We would also like to mention that McDonald is donating 100% of Gunman Taco Truck‘s  soundtrack proceeds to the ACLU. If you’re too late to pick up a code, considering purchasing the $5 soundtrack here for a good cause. (Plus, can you really go wrong with apocalyptic mariachi?)

About the Author

Emily McMillan

After graduating with a master's in teaching, I realized that I wasn't quite ready to leave video games and their soundtracks behind. I've been keeping in touch with the video game music world from Texas by working with VGMO and updating my own YouTube cover channel. I love the feeling that comes with the discovery of a brand new soundtrack, and always look forward to the next rekindling of that excitement. Along with teaching and writing, I also enjoy listening to film scores, classical music, and playing pretty much any RPG you can name.
