Gareth Coker announced to score Ori and the Will of the Wisps

As of last night, the sequel to the award-winning Ori and the Blind Forest has been announced with Gareth Coker returning to compose the score. The first trailer for Ori and the Will of the Wisps was unveiled during Microsoft’s E3 presentation on June 11 while Coker accompanied the showing on piano.

Although no release date has been announced yet, Ori and the Will of the Wisps will be an Xbox/Windows 10 exclusive. Along with Coker, the score will feature the Nashville Music Scoring Orchestra and vocalist Aeralie Brighton, in the footsteps of the first game. The trailer theme can be heard on Soundcloud or purchased on Bandcamp for a name-your-price option.

About the Author

A native and lifelong Texan, I currently work in software education while contributing news, reviews, and interviews to VGMO on the side. I love the feeling that comes with the discovery of a brand new soundtrack, and always look forward to the next rekindling of that excitement. Outside of VGMO, I enjoy playing piano, listening to classical music and film scores, and trying to go unnoticed in any stealth RPG I can find.
